In this course, participants will explore effective strategies to incorporate writing activities in all curriculum areas, fostering students' writing skills while enhancing their understanding of content in subjects like science, math, and social studies. 

In this course the learner will experience: 

  • the research and  “why” behind having students write in all content areas.

  • opportunities to integrate writing across all content areas.

  • benefits of low-stakes writing activities.

  • methods to incorporate the reader’s response.

    • aligned to provide support for the 3rd-5th Grade SCR/ECR

  • meaningful collaboration with fellow educators to gain thinking partners, new ideas, and confidence.

  • immediate strategies for classroom implementation.
