Learn to administer and score various norm-referenced instruments used in the determination of a reading disability.

This workshop will provide a step-by-step test procedure for administering and scoring the Comprehensive Test of Phonological Processing-2 (CTOPP-2), Gray Oral Reading Test Fifth Edition (GORT-5), and Test of Word Reading Efficiency-2 (TOWRE-2) assessments. Participants will learn how to administer and interpret the results of each assessment. Special attention will be given to explaining multiple miscues marking systems and error tally a question-and-answer time will take place after participants have practiced administering each instrument.

These instruments address many of the domains specified in "The Dyslexia Handbook-Revised 2024: Procedures Concerning Dyslexia and Related Disorders" from the Texas Education Agency. This session is appropriate for education professionals who assess for dyslexia.
