Every campus in Texas is required by law to designate a Behavior Coordinator, or someone who is specifically responsible for maintaining student discipline. 

Our Behavior Coordinator Training Program was designed to provided on-going professional development to behavior coordinator desigees in the area of school safety, behavior and discipline, and classroom management support. We built the four days of training to enhance your skills for the typical roles and responsibilities of a behavior coordinator. It's a 24 hour course spread out over 4 months.

Workshop Title: Supporting and Managing Extreme Behaviors

Description:
This workshop is designed to help behavior coordinators effectively manage and support students with extreme behaviors by providing a comprehensive framework for a Continuum of Behavior Supports. The session will cover key components for addressing challenging behaviors, including Behavior Programming, Trauma Informed Practices, and the effective implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). Additionally, participants will learn how to develop Safety Plans and conduct Debriefing Sessions after a crisis to ensure continued support and safety for students and staff.

  • Essential behavior programming components needed to supporting students with significant behavior challenges.
  • Implementation of trauma informed practices.
  • Effective strategies for creating and implementing behavior intervention plans.
  • Developing safety plans that ensure the protection of all students and staff.
  • Debriefing strategies following crises to improve future responses and provide emotional support.

By the end of this session, behavior coordinators will gain valuable tools and insights on proactively supporting students with extreme behaviors and understanding how to respond and reflect after crises.
