Statewide STEM for Educators (3-Day Intensive)

This three-day hands-on workshop designed by the Texas Education Agency prepares educators for successful implementation of STEM instruction in their classroom or out-of-school setting by immersing them directly in the role of STEM learner, engaging first-hand in high impact STEM practices such as project-based learning, design-based challenges, and computational thinking. To better understand the role STEM plays in education, educators will make connections between the Texas STEM framework, STEM fluency skills, and contemporary workforce demands. Most importantly, educators will begin the work of embedding these STEM strategies into what matters most - their daily work with students. Registration includes a 351-page participant guide. Participants who successfully complete all three days will earn a TEALearn digital credential, issued by the Texas Education Agency.

Testimonials from Past Participants

  • This was a very informative session with lots of information presented in easy-to-digest bites so that you feel empowered to go back to your campuses and begin tackling projects to make your STEM program even better!
  • This training provided me with the tools to successfully present STEM instruction to my campus and upper administration in a meaningful way. It allowed for me to digest the information in bite-size amounts that were both relevant and actionable without being overwhelming.
  • This is an amazing presentation on STEM goals and teaching practices that ALL administrators need to hear! Just as STEM is not separately Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math in isolation but rather the incorporation of the content across all areas, a good STEM program does not exist with only one or a few teachers.
