Join us for an in person, comprehensive, detailed, workshop on complex and often misunderstood topics of non-suicidal self-injury and suicidal ideation.
This workshop is the second part of the first workshop facilitated in December 11, 2024.
Through in-depth discussions, interactive activities and scenarios, participants will gain a deeper understanding on developing and monitoring an effective safety plan, completing and facilitating screening and assessments, prevention, intervention and postvention logistics and strategies and planning.
Our goal is to provide a safe and supportive space for individuals struggling with these issues and for those who want to better understand and support loved ones who may be experiencing them.
Learning Objectives:
1. Gain a comprehensive understanding of non-suicidal self-injury and suicidal ideation, including prevalence rates, contributing factors, and common misconceptions.
2. Recognize the warning signs and risk factors associated with these behaviors, as well as the different forms they can take.
3. Explore effective coping mechanisms and strategies for breaking the cycle of self-injury and managing suicidal thoughts.
4. Learn how to provide support and assistance to those who may be struggling with these issues, including how to provide a non-judgmental and compassionate environment.
5. Develop a personal action plan for addressing and managing non-suicidal self-injury and suicidal ideation in a healthy and productive way.
