Join us for an engaging and personal Lunch & Learn with Nico Doorn, Executive Director and Co-Founder of Alpha 180, a person with lived experience, and the father of a teenager in recovery. This workshop is designed to provide educators, counselors, social workers, and school staff with essential knowledge and practical strategies for effectively navigating tough conversations about substance use with teens, and promoting safety. Through engaging discussion and real life scenarios, participants will deepen their understanding of the complex factors that contribute to use, and how to address and prevent substance-related issues in the school setting and at home. Our Lunch & Learn will also guide participants in developing language to promote safety, encompassing awareness, prevention, intervention, and harm reduction strategies. This workshop will equip educators with the tools and knowledge needed to effectively support their students' well-being and promote a safe and healthy school environment.
