Join Integral Care’s Stacy Spencer, LCSW-S - who has spent much of her career dedicated to children and youth in foster care and residential placement - for an informative session on best practice interventions with this population. We will delve into the complex world of attachment and its impact on foster care and adopted youth. Participants will gain a deep understanding of how attachment can impact the nervous systems, brains, and behaviors of children who have been in foster care placement or who have been adopted. We will explore practical strategies for working with foster care and adopted students, and how to be trauma-informed in your approach. This workshop is perfect for social workers, counselors, and school staff seeking to better support foster care and adopted youth in their journey towards healing.
