The purpose of the Highlights of Conducting Necessary Transition Assessments training is to take a closer look at some highlights from a course created by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) titled Conducting Necessary Transition Assessments. This training will provide educators with information to complete transition assessments that result in a clear picture of the student's needs, strengths, preferences and interests.

- Basics of transition assessments;
- Formal versus informal transition assessments; and,
- The transition assessment planning process
