Join this interactive Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) experience designed to help you build confident problem-solvers through exploration, creativity, and purposeful technology use. In this session, you will deepen your understanding of how young children learn through tinkering, engineering, movement, and discovery. You will engage in hands-on activities, creative investigations, and practical strategies that help you integrate STEAM into your everyday classroom practices.
Learning Objectives:
1. Learn how to support children as they use the Engineering Cycle (Ask, Imagine, Plan, Create, Improve) to explore, design, test, and revise their ideas .
2. Create opportunities for children to build digital literacy by communicating, collaborating, thinking critically, and expressing creativity with developmentally appropriate tools.
3. Examine how technology tools can support—not replace—teacher-driven instruction.
4. Practice activities that build sequencing, problem-solving, and spatial reasoning with and without devices or apps.
5. Design environments where children can engage in open-ended explorations that spark creativity, observation, inquiry, and discovery.
