You’ve Attended the Texas Reading Academies… Now What?

The Texas Reading Academies focused on the WHAT.
Now it’s time to focus on the HOW.

Join us for a FREE, full-day professional learning workshop designed to help you translate your STR and HB3 Reading Academy learning directly into effective classroom practice.

What to Expect

This engaging workshop is divided into two powerful sessions:

Morning Session: Bringing STR to Life

Teachers will dive deeper into STR content through hands-on lessons and activities that model how to apply HB3 Reading Academy learning in real classrooms. All activities are aligned to the HB3 Reading Academies and the TEKS, providing practical strategies you can implement immediately.

Afternoon Session: Planning With Purpose

Participants are encouraged to bring their district-approved HQIM to collaborate with peers and plan how the day’s learning aligns with the TEKS and their current curriculum. Leave with concrete plans and clear next steps for implementation.

This workshop bridges the gap between theory and practice, ensuring you leave confident, prepared, and ready to apply what you’ve learned.

This course will focus on:

  • Science of Teaching Reading

  • Oral Language
