This course provides educators with a comprehensive overview of

Texas Education Code Chapter 37, with a focus on lawful effective student discipline practices that support a positive school culture. Participants will examine statutory requirements related to student conduct, removals, due process, special populations, and discipline alternatives while exploring how discipline decisions impact school climate, student behavior, and long-term outcomes. Manifestation Determination Review (MDR) training provides  the essential legal frameworks and procedures required to conduct compliant meetings and make informed decisions that safeguard student rights while ensiring school safety.
