The dispute resolution is a provision included in the McKinney-Vento Act. Did you know that the beginning of a dispute is to give written verification that the family has been denied MKV services? Well if you didn’t know it is okay. What can be disputed, the procedure, forms, and timeframe that must be followed for the dispute will be outlined during this workshop. We will explore best practices within ESC 13 to give your parents and unaccompanied youth an answer, in written form when they are not eligible for MKV services. Our Texas Association for School Boards (TASB) contact will explain the formal dispute process.

It is okay to deny services if you deny them properly, join us and learn the official way to say "No."
