Postsecondary Education Opportunities in Texas: Programs and Supports For Students With Disabilities
Online, Live Broadcast
1.00 CPE Credits

Wait…where’s my IEP? When leaving high school, students with disabilities and their families may find the transition to postsecondary education to be difficult to navigate.

In this session, we will look at:

  • The accommodations request process;
  • Specialized support programs for traditionally enrolled students with disabilities such as Autism or Specific Learning Disabilities;
  • The tuition waiver that is available for students who are blind or deaf;
  • Inclusive postsecondary education programs for students with an Intellectual or Developmental Disability which have a separate admissions criteria and process from traditional enrollment by a degree-seeking student

Links and resources will be shared throughout the presentation that can support students with disabilities in Texas and beyond who are interested in attending an institution of higher education after graduation from high school.

This session will be held virtually through a live, online broadcast via Zoom. The link will be shared with registrants in advance of this session which is scheduled to take place on Thursday, December 10th.
