The Early Career Evaluator Cohort is for new and early-career Educational Diagnosticians and School Psychologists seeking practical guidance, connection, and support as they navigate the demands of their roles. Your graduate program taught you the “what” of your new job - let us help you with the “how.”
Throughout the fall semester, participants will build practical skills for managing the day-to-day responsibilities of evaluation work, including strategies for staying on top of timelines, evaluations, compliance requirements, and much more. Each meeting will combine direct instruction with opportunities to ask questions, share resources, and learn alongside other early-career evaluators.
The cohort will meet virtually via Zoom for 1.5 hours, from 2:30–4:00 p.m., on the following Thursdays:
8/20, 9/3, 10/1, 10/15, 10/29, 11/12, and 12/3
Direct instruction will be recorded for participants who need to miss a session due to job responsibilities.
Lead Evaluators/Coordinators: Let's "onboard" your staff together! Region 13 will provide foundational guidance on key evaluation topics from the national and state levels, while you reinforce and supplement that learning with your LEA’s local procedures and expectations. Evaluation Coordinators or Lead Evaluators may attend at no additional cost when at least one participant from their LEA is registered.
