$110.00

The Boston Museum of Science's Engineering is Elementary (EiE) project aims to foster engineering and technological literacy among children.  EiE is creating a research-based, standards-based, and classroom-tested curriculum that integrates engineering and technology concepts and skills with elementary science topics.  EiE materials also connect with literacy, social studies, and mathematics.  Through interesting engineering design challenges, children are invited to apply their knowledge of science, engineering, and their problem solving skills, as they design, create, and improve possible solutions.  Upon completion of the training, all participants will receive the "To Get to the Other Side" teacher's guide which includes the storybook, lesson plans, background materials, assessments, and differentiation strategies for ELL and GT.

This session has been canceled.

Note: Six (6) GT hours will count toward 6 GT hours for annual update or 30-hour certification but not in lieu of Curriculum and Instruction - Day 3. Fee will not be paid through Region 20 ESC GT District Co-op membership.

Participants will receive one binder upon completion of the training, and the cost of the binder ($45) is built into the price of the workshop.
