Assessing Second Language Learners Using Cross Battery Assessment
Dr. Samuel Ortiz, will discuss how to distinguish difference from disorder in English Learners (EL). Use of the Culture-Language and Interpretive Matrix (C-LIM v2.0) software will be demonstrated using actual data. This session will also provide information on how to link assessment findings to educational strategies and interventions for ELs.
This workshop is not just for bilingual examiners but geared for mono-lingual examiners who evaluate second language learners that speak Spanish as well as other languages.
