Texas Education Agency (TEA) has made online resources available to Texas public schools and open enrollment charter schools through the TexasSUCCESS initiative. TexasSUCCESS includes scientifically validated and research-based online programs to target the prevention of academic failure in mathematics and reading in the following service categories:
- Grades 3–5 mathematics (Think Through Math)
- Grades 6–8 mathematics (Think Through Math)
- Algebra I (Think Through Math)
- Grades 3–5 reading (Istation)
- Grades 6–8 reading (Compass Learning)
- English I (Apex Learning)
- English II (Apex Learning)
Representatives from each of the 4 companies will provide overview training for district staff to facilitate effective implementation of these resources into instruction.
These training sessions will be BYOD (Bring Your Own Device). A limited number of laptops will be available for participants who do not have a device to bring.
Join us for an Istation 101- The Basics Training of Trainers course! We will cover how Istation determines student ability and automaticity with the monthly ISIP screener, automatically progress monitors monthly, and differentiates instruction on an ongoing basis. Additionally, we will cover basic reporting to get you “in the know” while modeling amazing teacher support tools and extensions of Istation. Make sure to bring your own device and earbuds. Options are an iPad, Chromebook, laptop (either Windows or Mac), along with the Istation app already loaded to your device. Don’t forget your Istation login and password!
