Measurement is more than perimeter and area. It's a way to describe the physical world so we can compare the relative sizes of objects. During this session, we will connect geometry, measurement, and algebra and use them to describe the world we live in. This workshop is appropriate for math teachers in grades 3-5, instructional coaches, math interventionists, bilingual/ELL and special education teachers, and the people who support them.
This training includes a teacher resource, "Start Quick and Ramp it Up!" This amazing resource on Measurement is aligned to the TEKS and includes teacher notes and student reproducible blackline masters.
The workshop supports T-TESS Domain 2, Instruction. Participants will deepen their content knowledge and expertise, as well as, learn a variety of strategies and methods for differentiating the instruction of measurement concepts.
