2016 Leadership Symposium Pre-Conference

Novice administrators and charter school leaders are invited to get a focused head start on their leadership planning by attending this pre-conference designed for their needs. Novice administrators can include:

• Assistant Principals and Principals new to their positions
• aspiring administrators currently enrolled in a program to receive their degree/certification as a school leader

KEYNOTE: Dr. Nelson Coulter

The “business of school” is LEARNING, but many school leaders find themselves at a loss for how to frame and conduct the necessary conversations that move a school community toward that mindset. Join Dr. Coulter as he collectively engages novice administrators and charter school leaders in this practical yet thought provoking session. You’ll consider the prospects when school leaders begin to purposefully shape the culture of schools- with intent to not only achieve higher levels of student and adult performance in the short term- but to begin fostering a culture that will sustain that learning-centric mindset into the future. 

ABOUT THE PRE-CONFERENCE:

The pre-conference includes a keynote session by Dr. Nelson Coulter, followed by individualized breakout sessions and meet-ups for novice administrators and charter school leaders, including topics like:

• transformational dialogue
• assessment
• resource management
• leveraging leadership skills for school improvement with T-TESS and T-PESS
• and more!
