Compassion without Burnout and Fatigue

In this interactive session, participants will learn how to have effective and empowering school counseling programs while maintaining a healthy professional and personal life balance.  The presenter, Matt Bierds, realizes that the counseling profession requires a great deal of work,  and that the rewards of making such a positive impact on students and families is completely worth the time and effort. The trade off is that school counselors can suffer from burnout, compassion fatigue, and other stressors.

This workshop focuses on self care, offering strategies and proactive steps to increase your wellbeing and resiliency during a stressful school year.  Come learn how to have a rewarding and successful career in school counseling while learning to protect your time and interests outside of your career.

You will leave this workshop learning how to advocate for yourself and your program through this engaging yet fulfilling presentation.  Counselors who attended last year commented how much they appreciated Matt's insight, honesty, and humor and they highly recommended him as a great champion for the school counseling profession!

This workshop is included in the counselor cooperative.  Please remember to use your registration code.
