STAAR Alternate 2: Before, During, and After the Assessment (21-22)

The training will cover multiple aspects of the entire assessment process.  Developed not only to help teachers understand the test administration, but also understand how to best prepare their students before the assessment and how to use the test results to inform future instruction after the assessment. This training covers the information found in the test administrator manual for individuals new to the test administration process. This training may also serve as a refresher to experienced test administrators.  Both new and experienced test administrators are still encouraged to read through the Test Administrator manual.

As a result of this training:
  • Educators will instruct and prepare their students appropriately prior to the administration of the assessment.
  • Educators will implement the assessment with fidelity.
  • Educators will review test results and use the data to inform future instruction of the student.

This training is not intended to cover or replace the District Test Security and Oath training that is the responsibility of the district testing coordinator and must be completed each year.
