Class Description:

This course will provide an overview of the CACFP pre-approval and site monitoring requirements conducted by Sponsors. Participants will practice using the state agency’s pre-approval and site monitoring forms and develop a “5-Step Process” to perform these vital program management requirements effectively. 

Learning Objective:

• Identify the eight management and monitoring responsibilities required of a Sponsor to uphold. 
• Identify the requirements of the pre-approval site visit. 
• Identify the requirements of the site monitoring visit. 
• Implement a 5-Step Process to perform site monitoring activities effectively. 
• Identify the Serious Deficiency process at the Sponsor level.
