This class is intended to help participants identify the Federal school nutrition programs (SNP). They will also learn to describe the school nutrition director’s leadership role in achieving the purpose and goals of the SNP and Identify the professional standards required of school nutrition personnel and the role of ICN in training.

ESC Region 13 Child Nutrition courses are a valuable tool for continuing education for district staff operating Child Nutrition Programs. There are no restrictions or fees for district staff to attend.
District employees may use discount code DISTRICTSTAFF when registering to waive the fee.
Each district will be permitted to take one food service management company (FSMC) employee, who may attend these sessions if accompanied by the district staff person responsible for contract management and oversight.
FSMC attendees must pay a $50 participation fee to attend and may not charge the cost to the nonprofit school lunch program or use federal nutrition funds for the expense.
