Using TEA's templates and your LEA's data, our knowledgeable facilitator, Cindy Moses of TCASE, will provide a step-by-step approach to ensure your compliance with federal requirements.
Learning Objectives:
1. Collaborate on the federal requirements for IDEA-B Maintenance of Effort with Finance and SpEd personnel.
2. Use TEA's templates to prepare exception reports related to IDEA-B MOE.
3. Identify potential areas of non-compliance and develop strategies to address them.
4. Gain hands-on experience in using your LEA's data to improve compliance with IDEA-B MOE.
5. Obtain practical tips for maintaining compliance in future fiscal years.

Recommendation for who should attend from your LEA: We recommend you have a team attendance of the key stakeholders involved in SpEd federal grant and financial management. This could include your federal programs staff, your central office SpEd program staff/director, your CEO/business manager, and/or a superintendent responsible for approving and authorizing these activities.
